The Scholar Series Data Sets are a component of the Geo/SAT 1 project and are designed for use with the Geo/SAT 1 Teacher's Manuals and PEDAGeOG™.

This is a Space Imaging EOSAT educational product offering spectacular satellite images.

Five data sets are available.

Yellowstone National Park's devastating fires

Charleston, South Carolina, wetlands

Chernobyl's nuclear accident

Persian Gulf oil spill

Mississippi Flood (special 2 image data sets)

Each image data set consists of 7 bands of 512 by 512 data on two 3½ inch diskettes. Each band is a separate file consisting of 512 records (scan lines) with 512 bytes (pixels) in each record. The data are binary (not encoded into ASCII) and are in IBM-PC format only. Eidetic manufactures this product for Space Imaging EOSAT.

Data

There is now no charge for the data as a result of the new (2008) USGS pricing policy for Landsat data. There is, however, a US$20 CD preparation charge. The CD contains all the data sets.
